Regional Training Workshop on the Production of SEEA-Energy Accounts and Use of Energy Information for Policy

The United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) in collaboration with the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Statistics, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), with support of Statistics Netherlands, is organizing the Regional Training Workshop on the Production of the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting-Energy (SEEA-Energy) Accounts and the Use of Energy Information for Policy, for countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA) and South-Eastern Europe (SEE). The workshop will be held at the UN house (Subregional Office for North and Central Asia) in Almaty, Kazakhstan from 17 to 20 December 2019.

The regional training workshop is a second phase of the regional training programme, which builds upon the online phase of the training that started in late-October 2019. The in-person phase will provide a unique opportunity for participants who have an understanding of basic energy statistics, energy balances and SEEA-Energy concepts as well as their use for policy to improve their knowledge through practical examples and discussions. The workshop will be conducted with simultaneous interpretation in English and Russian.
