National Training Workshop for the SEEA Central Framework in Bhutan
The United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) and the United Nations Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific (UNSIAP), in collaboration with the National Statistics Bureau of Bhutan (NSB) are organizing a National Training Workshop on the SEEA Central Framework. The workshop will be held in Thimphu, Bhutan from 31 October to 3 November 2023 and will be conducted in English.
The workshop is an opportunity for participants to increase their technical knowledge of the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting Central Framework accounts (SEEA CF) through exercises, country examples and discussions focusing on Energy and mineral asset accounts, Forest and Timber accounts, Land accounts, Water accounts and Physical energy flow accounts. Participants will learn about the policy relevance of central framework accounts and how SEEA CF can support measuring progress towards achieving the targets of national policies and international agreements including the Sustainable Development Goals, the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and the Paris Agreement.
