Making Nature Count at the IUCN World Conservation Congress

The event's speakers called on the conservation community to drive forward a new IUCN resolution which calls for the development and implementation of accounts for biodiversity.

27th Meeting of the London Group on Environmental Accounting

More than 90 people attended the 27th Meeting of the London Group, which was held virtually from 27 September to 4 October. The meeting sessions focused on methodology, implementation and application of both the SEEA Central Framework and SEEA Ecosystem Accounting.

South Africa releases SEEA ecosystem accounts for protected areas

On Monday 4 October 2021, South Africa launched the publication Accounts for Protected Areas, 1900 to 2020.  The publication was issued by Statistics South Africa in collaboration with the South African National Biodiversity Institute and the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment.
