Advancing Natural Capital Accounting in Ethiopia

From 3 to 7 April, the Statistics Division of the United Nations, in collaboration with the Global Program for Sustainability of the World Bank, conducted a technical assistance mission in Ethiopia to advance the Natural Capital Accounting (NCA) programme in the country.
The objective of the mission was to conduct technical training workshops and initiate work on the compilation of land and ecosystem extent accounts, and to follow up with relevant institutes on data request and institutional arrangements to implement the technical assistance program.
