Global consultations: SEEA Central Framework udpate

This page contains information on the documents circulated for global consultation during the update of the SEEA Central Framework, which was mandated by the United Nations Statistical Commission in 2024. A set of 29 issues was identified for the update process and endorsed by the United Nations Statistical Commission in 2025.

Detailed information about each consultation carried out during the update process is presented below and can be accessed by selecting the relevant link in the table below.

During 2026, global consultations will take place on Guidance notes that are prepared for individual issues.  The Guidance notes are prepared by lead authors and discussed and reviewed by the relevant task teams and the Technical Committee on the SEEA Central Framework. The Guidance notes reviewed and finalized by the SEEA CF Technical Committee of the UNCEEA are circulated for global consultation.  The outcome of the global consultation will be made available in the table below.
