The London Group on Environmental Accounting is a city group of the United Nations Statistical Commission established in 1993 to provide a forum for practitioners to share their experience in developing and implementing environmental accounts. Members of the London group are experts primarily from national statistical agencies but also international organizations. The London Group generally meets annually, and the meetings provide a forum for review, comparison and discussion of work underway by participants towards development of environmental accounts.

The United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) and the United Nations Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific (UNSIAP), with the support of the Office of the Director-General for Policy Planning on Statistical Policy, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of the Government of Japan are organizing a Regional Training Workshop on SEEA Asset Accounts for Sustainable Development. The workshop will be held in Chiba, Japan from 16-19 June. The workshop will be conducted in English.
This webinar aims to raise awareness among national SEEA focal points on the process for updating the SEEA Central Framework. The proposed update of the SEEA Central Framework was initially endorsed by the United Nations Statistical Commission at its 55th session in 2024, with the list of issues to be addressed in the update and the process for update subsequently endorsed at its 56th session in 2025.
