E-learning course on SEEA Ecosystem Accounting

This course is organized by the UN Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific.

The System of Environmental-Economic Accounting - Ecosystem Accounting (SEEA EA) provides the agreed statistical framework for collecting such information on ecosystems and their relationship to human activity. It provides an integrated statistical framework for organizing biophysical information about ecosystems, measuring ecosystem services, tracking changes in ecosystem extent and condition, and linking this information to measures of economic and human activities. This E-learning course introduces the SEEA EA, the international statistical standards for measuring ecosystems. The course is free of charge and will be conducted in English.

The modules of the course will be available in English, French and Spanish. All other course activities will take place in English. The course is free of charge and open to all. Please note that a virtual course on ecosystem accounting was last held in April 2022; participants from the 2022 course are most welcome to join the 2023 course as a review of the topic.
