Ecosystem Accounting and the SEEA EA 2021 - MAIA Workshop

The project  Mapping and Assessment for Integrated Ecosystem Accounting (MAIA) will hold a workshop in Ecosystem Accounting and the SEEA EA 2021, whre the immediate action and the road ahead will be the main focus.  

The hybrid event will take place on 29 March 2022 in Madrid, Spain. Participants can join the complete  workshop on site or online. Registration is required for both onsite and online participation.

Regional e-Learning Programme on the Use of the SEEA for Evidence-based Policy

This e-Learning programme is organized by UNSD, in collaboration with the UN ESCAP. It provides an overview of the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA) Central Framework (CF) and how it can be used for sustainable policy decisions. The e-Learning programme is directed towards select countries in Asia which have active SEEA programmes. In particular, the programme is aimed towards users and producers of SEEA accounts, with a focus on users of the accounts.

African NCA Community of Practice Webinar: Protecting East Africa's Natural Capital: The Cost of Inaction

Combining public and private forces to apply natural capital accounting

As part of the IUCN World Conservation Congress, the event Combing public and private forces to apply natural capital accounting will be held on-site in Marseille, France, to discuss opportunities for aligning public and private applications of natural capital accounting and assessments. It will focus on how businesses can use data derived from the SEEA Ecosystem Accounting for natural capital accounting and how it can be used to further standardize business applications.
