National Implementation Plan for the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting in Bhutan

The National Implementation Plan for the SEEA in Bhutan was adopted in fall 2023 and outlines a nationally agreed plan for implementation of the SEEA from 2024-2029. Developed through a consultative multi-stakeholder process, the plan outlines the global and national policy context for SEEA implementation; includes the results of a data assessment; makes recommendations for institutional frameworks, data sharing and capacity building; and identifies short-, medium- and long-term priority accounts.
