Valuing the Salt Marsh Ecosystem: Developing Ecosystem Accounts

The publication provides a foundation for developing salt marsh ecosystem accounts. The paper identifies data sets to use and proposes methodologies and indicators to produce a salt marsh ecosystem account. This technical paper follows the SEEA – Ecosystem Accounting framework to propose a methodology for building a Salt Marsh ecosystem account. Included with this release was data on salt marsh extent in Canada for 2022
