Ecosystem Accounts for India: Report of the NCAVES project

This report summarizes the work undertaken by NSO India to compile ecosystem accounts under the SEEA Ecosystem Accounting framework as part of the project entitled Natural Capital Accounting and Valuation of Ecosystem Services (NCAVES). The ecosystem accounts compiled include extent, condition and ecosystem services accounts (carbon retention, crop provisioning, timber and non-timber forest provisioning services, nature-based tourism, and soil retention services). Also included in the report is a species account and a section on how SEEA be used to derive indicators to measure progress towards sustainable development goals.
