Second Global Conference on the G20 Data Gaps Initiative 3 (DGI-3)
The second Global Conference on the third phase of the G20 Data Gaps Initiative (DGI-3) that will be held during June 11-13, 20241 at the Central Bank of Brazil, Brasilia, Brazil.2 The event is being organized by the IMF in close collaboration with the Inter-Agency Group on Economic and Financial Statistics (IAG)3, the Financial Stability Board (FSB) Secretariat, and Banco Central do Brasil (BCB).
The conference will take stock of the progress made on DGI-3 to date, and provide an opportunity for participating economies to exchange best practices and discuss specific challenges in meeting the DGI-3 recommendations. An important objective is to bring together policymakers and data producers to ensure that the most critical data gaps are being addressed. To facilitate this dialogue, the IAG is organizing a panel discussion related to climate change indicators, and the pivotal role that data play in tackling the climate crisis.
