Expert Meeting on SEEA Indicators for SDGs and Post-2020 Agenda

This workshop is part of the EU funded Natural Capital Accounting and Ecosystem Service Valuation project. This project is being implemented by the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) and United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) and aims to assist five partner countries advance the knowledge agenda on environmental and ecosystem accounting.
To this end, the project initiate pilot testing of the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting Experimental Ecosystem Accounting (SEEA EEA) framework with Brazil, China, Mexico, India and South Africa. The aim of the workshop is to develop sustainable development indicator set based on selected SEEA modules, and to provide an opportunity to discuss how the SEEA relevant indicator set can support the Post-2020 Biodiversity Framework. These indicators are expected to be tested as part of the programme of work within the project pilot countries.
The workshop will be held from 12-14 February, 2019 in Cambridge.
