Summary
The development of the statistical framework for Measuring Sustainable Tourism (MST) is based in large part on the integration of two, existing accounting frameworks – the Tourism Satellite Accounts (TSA) and the SEEA. Both of these frameworks are based on the accounting framework for measuring the economy – the System of National Accounts (SNA).This technical note provides guidance on how these frameworks can be used to organize information for assessing sustainable tourism.
