Ecosystem Accounts for Brazil: Report of the NCAVES project

This report outlines the main results achieved during the implementation of the project Natural Capital Accounting and Valuation of Ecosystem Services (NCAVES) in Brazil. The report includes an overview of the methodologies that were implemented to compile ecosystem accounts and the results obtained seeking to generate indicators that portray a selected set of primary services provided by Brazilian ecosystems. The NCAVES project, funded by the European Union, was implemented in Brazil under the leadership of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), with the support of the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)
