Second Mission to India - Natural Capital Accounting and Valuation of Ecosystem Services Project

Objective of the meeting

Following the initial mission to Delhi in October 2017, to discuss with CSO India and conduct consultations with a range of national stakeholders, this second mission has the objective to conduct a landscape assessment, review existing ecosystem accounting initiatives and literature in India, conduct a stocktaking of data sources for compiling ecosystem accounts, and identify and engage institutions and agencies active in this field. During the mission, a meeting will be held with the technical committee to discuss priorities and the national plan.

The mission will also have the objective to train the national project team o biophysical modelling in the context of ecosystem accounting.
